Katie Jones has been teaching elementary music in the St. Louis area since 2003. Katie loves to emphasize the joyful side of music making with over 700 students in general music classes, choir, and instrument clubs each week. She has completed her master level Orff Certification and was selected as the Outstanding Music Educator for the St. Louis Metro All-Suburban District for the 2025-2026 school year and loves serving on the board of the St. Louis AOSA chapter. She is passionate about kids having the opportunity to be active music makers through singing, playing instruments, and movement and loves to infuse corny humor into her classroom with her trusty puppet friend, Funky Monkey, who is always ready with a cheesy joke.
