Eric Young taught elementary music for 21 years. Currently, Eric serves as an academic advisor at Radford University. He served as adjunct faculty at Radford University. Eric holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Radford University and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Music Education from Virginia Tech. He completed his Levels I, II, and III in Orff-Schulwerk from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Eric served as the Region IV AOSA Representative from 2015-18. He is president of the Virginia Highlands Orff Chapter. Mr. Young placed second in the National Sonor-Orff original composition contest in 2011 and 2024. In 2015 and 2024, Mr. Young was named the Price’s Fork Elementary Teacher of the Year.
